Privacy policy

At La Rinconera we handle your personal data with care and only for what we need. This policy explains what data we collect, what for, and what your rights are under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data we collect and why

• When you place an order: your name, email, phone number (if you give it to us), shipping and billing address and the books you buy. We use them to prepare and send your order, send you the confirmation and help you if you have any questions. The legal basis is the purchase contract.
• For our accounts: the Swedish Bookkeeping Act (bokföringslagen) requires us to keep sales records for seven years.
• Gift cards: the giver’s name, the recipient’s email and the message, so that we can send it.
• Newsletter: if you subscribe, your email, to send you news. The legal basis is your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time from the link in every email.

We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only with the providers we need to run the shop, who handle the data on our instructions:

• Stripe, which processes payments (including Swish and Klarna). We never see or store your card details.
• PostNord, which delivers orders and may notify you by email or text message.
• Hostinger, where the shop and our email are hosted.
• MailerLite, which sends the newsletter.

Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA; when they do, it’s with the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Order data, seven years, because of the Bookkeeping Act. Newsletter data, until you unsubscribe. Anything else we delete once we no longer need it.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, to correct it, to delete it (except what the law requires us to keep), to limit its use, to object to its processing or to receive it in a format you can take with you. Write to us at info@larinconera.se. If you’re not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, imy.se).

Cookies

We only use what the shop needs to work: your cart is saved in your own browser, and Stripe uses cookies during payment to prevent fraud. We don’t use analytics or advertising cookies.
